Zambezi Working Donkey Project is a volunteer-run, non-profit organisation and relies 100% on donations from wonderful people who want to make a difference to the daily lives of these amazing animals.
If you can help by making a one-off or monthly contribution please click the 'donate' button at the top of the page.
All donations go directly towards helping the animals.
will pay for two sacks of maize to feed a donkey for two weeks
will pay for a first aid kit to treat one donkey with vital veterinary attention such as de-worming, tick treatment and wound care
will pay for a set of new padded harnesses to replace a cruel wooden ox-yoke
will pay for us to modify a scotch cart, making it lighter and more suitable for donkeys to pull
will pay for the training of a Community Livestock Officer as a ZWDP representative within a rural community, to educate owners, provide basic care and monitor donkeys’ welfare
will pay to rescue and rehome a donkey who is too injured, sick or old to work anymore
will provide emergency funding for us to attend to call-outs for cases of sick, injured and abused donkeys. This fund is ring-fenced for emergencies so that we can respond to those most desperate for our help
Donations also help us to pay for medical aid, cart modifications, education and outreach programmes.
Alternatively, if you'd like to enquire about other ways to support our work then we would love to hear from you.
